I completely agree with holding people accountable and keeping spaces safe, but I also think there are ways to have actual conversations that are conducive if people want to genuinely discuss serious topics & claims, but I personally think this forum is not that. Especially not with the anonymity behind it backing it up. Some need to understand and think about the victims behind some of this stuff and others need to recognize that this forum is not the place to paint or get a full picture on anything. Yes, this forum can be fun & entertaining. It can promote bands in funny, satirical, silly ways that bring us together as a community and scene—it’s goofy shitposting. However, some of the things brought up or mentioned here are simply much bigger topics of discussion than this forum is capable of giving. It feels very highschool for this to be the place for those conversations and we are (mostly) all grown adults. Most of us in the scene are at least 18+ and out of highschool and I personally find that some of us should’ve grown out of this. Let’s all just have fun, spread our love and awareness, and handle things with a little more grace and remember what information is ours to share. This forum was fun when we were satirically promoting the bands we love in our silly little ways and let’s not make this like the other forum please.
